I was in the US Navy, Brooklyn Navy Yard, waiting to get transferred to my 1st assignment in Italy. I went down to Brooklyn several times, taking pictures of the kids there while I was waiting to get transferred. You'll see a lot of photos posted from that time and that location.

Solarization, back in my chemical photogaphy days. Mid-way through developing, you expose it to white light, then finish the developing. I think there's now a digital way to do it, but I haven't tried it. This photo ended up in my 1977 photo-show at Penn State.

Thank you - I AGREE! But at this point in my life, there's too much "water under the bridge", and it's close to impossible to get any recognition. Another factor is no-one cares about photojournalism anymore, especially photos taken in the USA.

Yes i understand. It is so sad though that photos like this and the Photographer dont get the recognition they deserve. I am honoured though to be one of the few that do get to see it and recognise it for the wonderful photo it is :)
