Nose clip removed from car, and placed upside down on pad, for test fitting of home made pivot brackets -

marking locations so brackets can be attached with fiberglass cloth and resin -

lonewolf36 ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 2011-12-26 19:56
here you can see the clip has been sanded so the new resin will adhere properly -

'glassin in the brackets. The green goo is fiberglass resin Gel. easier to work with than liquid resin!

the bucket and bracket ( white primer ) are both from a real Pantera car - - -

This is the portion of the the Fiero frame which had to be cut away to allow the Pantera light buckets to swing down into the closed position.

The white car is a 1976 Lancia Monte Carlo , called a Lancia Scorpion here in USA. It is fully restored, and has 53,ooo miles on it. :)

wish this pic had better contrast. I was trying to show how it looks with front corner cut away for clearance -

lonewolf36 ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 2011-12-25 21:05
The parts cut away from the Fiero to create clearance for the pantera light buckets to swing down into the stored position.

Nose clip re-mounted onto the Fiero frame. New pivot brackets visible in headlight opening.

Here is what it will look like in the normal ( closed ) position.

lonewolf36 ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 2011-12-25 21:07

just a couple pix to show how the car looks over-all, as the other pix were taken inside my rather dark garage workshop.

To learn about the kit, please visit Pennock's Fiero Forum ( just google it ) then find section called construction zone. Then locate thread titled "pantera parts". The author of the thread owns the company that makes the kit. Price is very reasonable, and quality is very very good !!! Cheers !

By the way - All lights, and the Wheels are from a real Pantera ! And when I rework the dashboard, I have all of the original Pantera Gauges to populate the instrument pod.

Also note, in the lower right hand corner of this photo, one of the door skins, as well as the Lid that will cover the engine compartment.
