This photo gets to me every time. For some reason my brain creates a story of this stunningly perfect body, laying beautifully on the sand and yet devoid of life… for some reason imagining the boy as no longer a part of the living makes the image that much more powerful. I don’t know why my mind went there, but unfortunately now that it has, I can’t return to seeing it any other way. So strange and sad, yet beautiful

my best friend for 4 years used to come to me more often than he would sleep at his home. We always spooned from the first day on. I lived really small and had but a single 32"bed, but we were comfortable with it.
