In the center of a fountain in a small park at the apex of West Broadway and Greenwich Street, in front of 7 World Trade Center. The sculpture resembles one of those balloon figures a clown or magician might create to entertain children, except huge and colored candy apple red (which is exactly what the artist had in mind, according to the Silverstein Properties office). This is apparently one of Koons' specialties: according to his website, there are five of this same design in different colors, as well as various others using the same technique. The fountain itself is dedicated to the memory of those who survived 9/11. The Silverstein Family Park is within Ground Zero, part of the original footprint of 7 WTC, one of the buildings destroyed on 9/11, and the first to be rebuilt.

One World Trade Center (also known as 1 World Trade Center, 1 WTC, or Freedom Tower) is the main building of the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. It is the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world. The supertall structure has the same name as the North Tower of the original World Trade Center, which was destroyed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The new skyscraper stands on the northwest corner of the 16-acre (6.5 ha) World Trade Center site, on the site of the original 6 World Trade Center. The building is bounded by West Street to the west, Vesey Street to the north, Fulton Street to the south, and Washington Street to the east.

Регулярно мимо башни пролетают большие пассажирские самолеты. Когда я вижу самолет и башню, я вспоминаю кошмарные кадры телевизионного репортажа 11 сентября.

The Irish Hunger Memorial is a 0.5-acre (0.20 ha)[1] park at the corner of Vesey Street and North End Avenue in the Battery Park City neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City — dedicated to raising awareness of the Great Irish Famine, referred to as An Gorta Mór in Irish or "The Great Hunger" in English, in which over one million starved to death between 1845 and 1852. Construction of the memorial began in March 2001, and despite the September 11 attacks on the nearby World Trade Center, which also affected surrounding areas, the memorial was completed and dedicated on July 16, 2002
