"Catch of the Day" by LesBryant2 32x38 Gallery Wrap Oil on Canvas completed 2/6/2017 As a kid my grandfather would take me fishing. He warned me to be careful and not catch my self on the hook, so I was always apprehensive and envisioned this happening to me. I can remember breathing a sigh of relief each time I successfully cast my line out without incident. Hope you enjoy. Les Bryant

I laughed and remembered. The exact same thing happened to me in the summer of 1964. The difference was it had a small treble hook and latched onto my cheek and crack. I had to hobble to the picnic table and was humiliated as my sister and friend got it out. Pretty sure I still have a small scar.
