What difference in between this and the previous picture? Were they two different shots, or just the same shot developed differently? I prefer this one.

This is a print scan; the previous one a negative scan. It's been 20 years since I did that negative scan, and I think I can do a better job now.

I've found that HQ negative scans allow me to really work in Photoshop at huge resolutions. It would cut down on that hot spot on her leg. The print scan shows just how rich the color palette of the film was. Great skin tones without too much red while still giving a nice, solid green for the grass.

I appreciate the tips. The negative scan was fairly low resolution by an amateur lab. I really should go back and re-scan it with my equipment. Don't have much free time however. I think the film was Fuji NPS, which controlled high contrast situations very well.
