Can anyone identify this insect? It is some sort of a fly. There were many Dragonflies and Horseflies in the area, it almost looks to me like a cross-breed of those two. The length of the body equals the length of a full grown Dragonfly. He rode with us for about a mile down the river. I almost collected a canoe-fare from him! :)

LOL...Yes Logan is the best at making Arrows fly, Maybe this critter has high hopes of making the canoe fly? One thing for sure, this critter has Amazing VISION! Just look at the size of those eyes in comparison to his head! 8-)

Many times after viewing Logan or Daniel i feel like my eyes have popped out of my head just like this fly! Maybe One of the boys is nearby, or maybe its just me, as he never stopped looking at me? He sure seemed happy to see me....lol :)

yes, she was only about an arms length away, and i simply zoomed in on her. I think she smiled here! :)
