Exactly how my hair looked when I was about 10 when it first started to grow out and my father didn't realize my hair was getting long till that night he and I had a big fight (argument) when my bangs fell down over my eyes because I didn't use Brylcreem to slick it back in a flat top. He always made me get a flat top when I was growing up till then. He wasn't raising a girl he said when it started to grow past my shoulders about a half year later. I refused to get a haircut and loved my hair growing out. Almost 4 years later it was past the middle of my back. Turned out at my fathers funeral talking to some of his coworkers, he thought I was the most beautiful boy and always bragged how handsome I was getting showing them my school photos he carried in his wallet. I went home that night found his wallet sure enough all my pictures were in it grades 1 through 12 showing the progress of me growing and how my hair grew. I started crying thinking if I only knew he actually loved me having long hair.

Sweet story:)) I also liked longer hair as most of the boys in school , the cute ones, had long hair. My father was "old school" and made me get a crew cut, REALLY short hair. NOW, I like short hair but not on a boy:)

I hated short hair since that first argument and still do. I hated that flat top haircut. Boys shouldn't be forced to get a haircut. If I had to do it all over again I would do the same. Maybe even grow it past my waist down to my butt.
