Allow me to reintroduce Ekaterina, my Katrín, now that I have the sequence of words that brings her properly from Wombo's psyche. This how Katrín would look at the time she meets Madison, at the beginning of the third grade. Katrín is a Russian born immigrant living with her mother. They don't see her father. Katrín is albino, wears colored contacts. Katrín is bipolar, takes medication to stabilize her mood. Katrín has rage, and has mostly learned to channel it in ways that benefit her and her mother... she still becomes violent on occasion. Jealousy is a problem for Katrín. She feels she is not very pretty. Katrín is both beautiful and astonishingly intelligent. Madison might have been in danger if she lacked emotional intelligence, as Katrín does. Instead, these two brilliant girls, by knowing each other, shone brighter by their association.
