I was in Cubs in the 1970's. Looking at the leader's clothing it is quite warm, our leader always encouraged us to take our clothes off when it was warm so unlike the boys on the photo we were usually naked, definatly the best way to play at camp!

Nothing better than sunbathing at camp, however when I was in Cubs Akela always used to tell us all to take our shorts and underpants off when we were playing outside, she said it was good for us to get sunlight and fresh air on our skin.

Your welcome, always thought Russian and Czech boys scouts wore the best uniform it's great to see them wear their shorts to that length today.
