I remember her. You know, ducman, you're not the only older guy here. I also know about Leicas. Also, the "good old days" weren't always so good. And, these days aren't as bad as you seem to think. Kids these days are different than they used to be, in a lot of ways. But, in a lot of ways, they're still just kids trying to get by as best as they can. Think of the things that they are exposed to these days compared to what we saw when we were young? The online world can be a very scary place. They have "Active shooter drills". We had fire alarms. I'm just saying that kids these days are still kids and they have a lot more stuff to deal with than we ever did. So, maybe, parents today are more worried about their kids than our parents were. I sure would be. I hope that you can try to see things in today's light and still see joy. I do. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos and memories. Take care.

I probably had more negatives from that period I was VERY active (1970 - 2002) that I hadn't scanned, but when I moved out of my sister's house in New York and back to a trailer down South, I didn't have any time or space left for high-quality scanning. This is my life that I've now got to accept.

It was a Virago I rented in Cannes, and rode to St. Tropez. Life was much better for me at that time, but I still have a Honda ST1100 here in the USA. I've had experiences that many other people haven't had.

I still have my 2001 Honda ST1100 (first photo in the "Moto.." album. I messed up the fairing and windscreen a few years ago, so I couldn't take it on the highway. I finally transported it to where I am now, Alabama, and got the windscreen "half-fixed", so I'm using it locally. I'm 76 and still riding - at least I'm still healthy enough!
