Thank you for documenting the pre nude paranoiac era. B/W pictures reproduced from a poor quality print magazine are as they are. Nowadays boys cover themselves even in a nudist resort and are allowed to for legal reasons. They see that grown up are dressed and they want as well. Girls the same... cover not existent tits just because their sisters do. When I was a boy I didn't miss any opportunity to trow away my bath suit enjoying the full contact with nature. In the past illustrated magazines published often nude and semi-nude pictures of rich people sons. Adult nude was a tabu, children nude no. In any case nudity was a privilege of few, nothing to be ashamed of. Nobody cared of boys bathing nude and almost nude in fountains and a river banks. I am sure that their parents were perfectly aware of the freedom that boys could enjoy in scout camps. A magazine like that you take the picture from was made to promote it!

You are from India and I guess nudity is not a big problem there, may be is just a signal of poorness, nothing else. For most of the past century playing Indians (north American ones of course) in minimal dresses was common in scout camps. Occasional nudity was usual as well, in some cases was planned and parents knew it in advance and had no objection about. By the end of the century all changed... and this is no longer generally accepted. In north America there is some kind of obsession (phobia, paranoia) about nudity. Even in Japan fundoshi are used almost only in rituals now. Boys and girls (under the north American culture influence) prefer boxers as swim suits...
