It is sunrise, and the blue ocean is visible below the clouds. it is fun being a space traveler, i have many interesting pics from other regions with intelligent life....if you are interested.

thanks. this actually is an inverted picture taken in an airplane over the pacific ocean. The true horizon is hidden in the darkness. The false horizon appears curved like the earth would be, because of the clouds near the sun. The cloud across the sun looks like a ring, such as saturn would have. Sunrise! I thought this is how the earth might look from outer space,with a little imagination, entering into its outer atmosphere.

Yes, anon 72.93.0, i did the washing machine hands on purpose...some people get upset when they see things like that and think its a real pic. that just proves its photoshopped. I did it for fun, not to encourage youngsters to do that, although we all have heard the horror stories. thanks!

Pagosa Springs Colorado, view from the mexican cafe by the river, the springs and hot tubs, and pools are visible across the river. Varying degrees of heat in different pools, tubs. The only problem is you come out of there smelling of sulphur, rotten eggs. My personal preference is the ice cold river with the tubing...and no sulphur smell! I suppose you could go back and forth to warm up or cool down!

in reality this is exactly what it looked like...the table really was that blue, and the colors in the chair are right, and the redand orange in the plant, the best of the enhancements! its easier to see side by side...

Hot tubs from the natural springs...see the sulphur formations? The girls liked to soak in there, they came out smelling like rotten eggs. I prefer the river-nice clean melted snow- no after smell either!

We had arrived in fairly nice weather, but storms quickly approached as we were hiking at the top of one of the sand dunes. This intense storm appears to be drawing a curtain, or veil, over the mountain. about 30 minutes later, down the road, we saw a funnel cloud dropping down, but it never touched down.

cool 16...i love visiting Colorado! wish we would have known you when we were there. We were actually considering finding some horses to ride. Lucky you being able to ride all the time! And being in a most beautiful state. i live on the eastern side of the next state east of you. it is hilly here, and much to do, but i do love the mountains!

Mesa Verde Colorado tour. Home of the cliff dwellers. seems like an extremely well protected place, both from the weather, and from possible forest fires, as those happen frequently. the steep climb to get to this place makes any surprise invaders extremely unlikely.

and all night...really nice to watch the ocean oil tankers float by as they head up the houston ship channel....only one problem....sometimes you get tar balls wash up on the beach from dirty ships...thats mostly on the north end of the island, the south usually never gets those, only jellyfish the size of basketballs.

the roots by themselves are not very firm. like the mighty redwoods, their roots are intertwined giving strength and rigidity to the stalks. Only the mightiest of winds, like the circular rotation of a twister could cause them to not stand uprightly.

Yes, they had a tour of the garages that was really cool. Met Mark Martin and Dale Jr.. and actually could get close to may different cars. was a very nice event and weekend!

Still, no picture could ever reproduce the effect of being there in person.I swam to this Island off Kailua, Hawaii. There is a very dangerous coral reef on the way out that you must be careful of. Don't want to cut your foot and draw sharks! I wanted to be in the right position to capture the sunrise between the hills. Later, a friend commented that this picture is like an "optical illusion'. He sees a face of a man, swallowing the sun. It can also be viewed from the perspective of the sun being the mans eye
