I had to wear a nappy on long car rides as a kid, I wasn't great at holding it so my mum decided it was the best option. I make my son wear them too on long rides. He's peed on the seat that many tines now it just makes sense.

I think you're right there. I did wear them a lot and was encouraged to wet them when I needed to pee. Same as my night nappy. Once it was one it stayed on. If I needed to pee before I'd wet it and if j had no school I was allowed to leave it on for a while in the mornings. As I said I wasn't great at holding and had regular accidents. Sometimes I'd wet myself for the convenience of not stopping playing but I think the nappies encouraged it a lot more when I had them on.

I understand , i had to wear diapers on every trip and was encouraged to just " use my diaper " similarly on weekends i had my diapers on in the mornings for longer and i even wore them to the malls

When I wore either a nappy or pull up, it depended on my mood whether I'd go to the toilets or use it. Usually opting for the latter. I do remember pooping in them a few times. The first few I passed off as accidents .. I was being lazy. But my dad caught on and I was scolded once I admitted they weren't accidents. A couple more with the babysitter. She'd always put a nappy on me to go out, she never gave me the option of a pull up like my parents did. On the way back from a party we stopped at the play park. I told her I needed the toilet and she said don't worry about it. A few minutes later I wet myself. I told her I'd done that and said I needed to poo. She kept me distracted enough to get so desperate that making it home was impossible. Even during the walk home she kept stopping for various reasons until I just gave up. I seem to remember similar things a couple of times with her.

I got used to it. She had a daycare so wet and dirty diapers were no big deal. I'd always be the last to get changed I remember that.

yes. He still wears them at night. At the minute We go for the comfy Jr. (ID) ? For when he's at home. Never leaks unless he uses it a few times, like when doesnt take it off straight away 🙄 When he's camping with his beavers group or sleeping at friends he has the Magics pj pants 4-7 years or drynites pj pants, both pull ups. But these sometimes leak so I usually end up washing his sleeping bags. In the car it's usually a proper nappy too as the pull ups aren't great when he's sitting. Daytime as a rule, just regular pants and trousers. But he'd happily wear them whenever he can 🤷♂️

I wore Pampers until I was 6 because I wet the bed. My grandma ran a daycare so there was plenty of Pampers for the other toddlers and babies. Most of the time she'd keep me in a diaper during the day as well. It was embarrassing to be the oldest boy there wearing a diaper and not allowed to use the toilet.
