Giovanna and me at Bar Triestina in Gaeta - this year. She's now 59, is married and has children and grandchildren. I was about to leave Gaeta without seeing her, but I decided at the last moment to leave a note on the door of the "palazzo" where me and her family had rented apartments. She called me a few hours later, and said she had wondered where I'd gotten to. She had gone to that apartment building to see her daughter, and found the note. A young man sitting nearby at Bar Triestina took this photo.

This was along Riviera di Chiaia in Napoli. I went to the same place where Luciano used to work (Rotondo Diaz), saw some old guys there (my age) and asked where Luciano might have gotten to. After awhile I found him working at a kiosk in the same area. He remembered me, after 31 years!

My best friend's daughter. I feel bad that I didn't see any of that group (Sabrina, Emanuela, Daniel, their parents, etc.). I tried to reach out to them, but maybe they were avoiding me.
