You know what, I was never too sure what they were looking for; just that they were cute kids worthy of many photos. I think they were fishing for "cozze" (google it). I got in touch with all of them on FB in 2014 and they got the photos then. A lot of the residents of Gaeta stay in that city, beautiful place to live, I wish I'd never left.

No explanation except for their standard that they post in their FAQ's. You're right, and I'm PW protecting more and more of my albums. I had a very strange comment (NOT pornographic) on one of my photos in the Hampden album, and I believe it was the same person who had been giving me trouble last year. Right after that imgsrc deleted the "Bambini di Europa" album.

I had been discharged from active duty at that time; but I stayed on to attend the L'Universita' di Napoli (and take a lot of photos). This was taken with a Mamiya C330. That's right. Well, I was well-known at the time for taking photos of the local kids in their natural habitat. That's the old part of the city of Gaeta (Gaeta Vecchia) behind him. They loved "hamming" it up for the camera. I didn't know I had this photo until I started scouring through all my old negatives.

I think sometimes I shortened Giacomino to Giacomo (same thing, but shorter version) when I didn't have enough space in the title. There are A LOT of photos of him and Erasmo throughout this album.

The old man who's caressing the little GIRL - I'm his age now. He's obviously long gone after 41 years. The kids now have children and grandchildren of their own. I was in my early thirties at that time. Like the "generation of leaves" we're born, become children, young adults, middle age, grow old and die; and are replaced by a new "generation of leaves". Such is life!
