Boys can certainly be as flexible as girls, that's for sure. BTW this is a nice yoga type stretch. I always encourage flexibility, more important than strength exercises at a young age.

respectfully, that's bad advice. flexibility is not MORE important, especially for the youth. if you focus too much on flexibility over stability and strength that can lead to injuries. strength training is super important to be able to manage new ranges of motion under control.
