'Love them so much, their warmth, their vitality, their sense of fun - and the 'good' people don't even want them to know, would prefer to call it 'grooming' - an ugliness (though I accept it's sometimes true) of their own creation! And and all in an attempt to appear 'caring' in the eyes of others - not in the eyes of those who see what they are! And 'closure'? Just a modern euphemism for 'vengeance' - guess the 'good' are no better than they bad!
