Larissa was Ukranian (as was Oksana). She was one of that group of kids from the Eastern Block that was sent over to the richer Western European countries, including Italy, after the breakup of the Soviet uni0n. They were taken in by European/Italian families during the Summer until their families back in their home countries could get their sh.t together.
