It was really a trip taking photos of these two little girls from Naples (Napoli); that's why I called them "scugnizze" (google it!). It was Spring, they were down there with their Dads, didn't have any bathing suits, so they just stripped down to their panties and jumped in to the main beach at Serapo. We (me, the girls and their Dads) had a big laugh about it, and I sent them the photos later. Nothing sinister about that, people were much more natural at that time. The Southern Italian personality, and the innocence of the kids, was predisposed into jumping into the water with whatever you had on (or didn't have on!) at that time. Nowadays there would be a congressional investigation.

These two girls were running up and down the beach in their underwear. Their Dads were there from Napoli. Everybody got a big laugh when I took out my camera (I sent them the photos). Contrast that with the situation today in the USA.

Agreed, today you would be locked up, your equipment taken, and months later after your reputation was ruined, you would (hopefully) get your possessions back, without even an apology.

How nice for them that they could simply go out and enjoy themselves. Especially the girl on the left, not having to be concerned about covering her developing body.
