Really cute pictures, thanks for posting. It is a shame so very few boys were shorts for school these days (although given the weather this year...) I had to wear them until I was in the 3rd year at Grammar School, the rule at that school was that you could go into 'longs' the term AFTER you became 14 or reached 5'. Unfortunatly it was based on the Gym teachers measurements, always taken at the start of term! I reached 5' in January and had to go right through to Easter before I officially allowed to wear long trousers, then my Mum decided that as the weather was improving I could stay in shorts until Autumn. I didn't mind to be honest, I enjoyed wearing them, but by October I was fourteen and a half and the only boy in my class still in shorts.
